Silkoon Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Silkoon app ("the app"), provided by the developer of Silkoon ("we"). They supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If the two conflict, the Apple EULA prevails for matters it covers.
1. The app
Silkoon is a web browser that opens sites in isolated sessions ("cocoons"), blocks known trackers and rates how trustworthy a site looks. The app is not a VPN and does not hide your IP address.
2. Site scores and AI checks are advice, not a guarantee
Site scores, link checks and AI summaries are produced automatically from public signals (domain age, address patterns, page features, public threat lists and public mentions). They can be wrong or incomplete. A high score does not mean a site is safe, and a low score does not mean a site is fraudulent. Always use your own judgment before entering personal data or paying. AI summaries quote public sources and do not represent our opinion of any business.
3. Subscriptions
- Silkoon Pro Weekly — auto-renewing weekly subscription, may include a free trial. Silkoon Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If a free trial is offered, payment is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to attack or overload websites, to circumvent the app's limits, or to reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it. You are responsible for the sites you visit and the content you access.
5. Third-party content
Websites you open belong to their owners. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
6. Privacy
How we process data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes and availability
We may update the app, change or remove features, or update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. Paid features you have purchased remain available for the period you paid for.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses resulting from relying on site scores, link checks or AI summaries. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
